Welcome to my blog. I pretend to know mathematics and, depending on the audience, can pull it off pretty convincingly. More importantly, I do mathematics. I have a variety of other interests, including physics, language, comics, and chess. My mathematical dabblings include a bit of graph theory, which could benefit from some of the structure and ideas of category theory. Linguistically, I know a bit of French and Spanish from courses I took over a decade ago, along with a smattering of self-taught Japanese. I am currently learning biblical Hebrew. As if the demands of a Ph.D. program in mathematics at UC Riverside were not enough…

I should probably edit this page in the nearish future—it’s been about a year since I finished my Ph.D.
